To capture the entire space, we position our 3D scanning device in multiple locations. At each position, it captures data from a 360-degree angle by rotating with its built-in motor, projecting a laser grid on the surface and HDR photography. After collecting the data, we upload it to the Matterport cloud for processing. Once processing is complete, we will share some links with you. You can easily embed these links on your website, share them on social media, or email them directly to your clients.

A conventional virtual tour typically consists of a 2D video or gallery of panoramic 2D photos and doesn't offer viewers the ability to move around within the space. These tours usually provide only 4 to 10 individual locations to view the space, and photographers use DSLR cameras to capture multiple photos that are stitched together to form a panoramic image. The resulting image can be viewed using special online plugins. No further features are added. In contrast, Matterport 3D VR tours provide an immersive experience that allows viewers to explore a space in up to 2500 locations, seamlessly stitched together using the Matterport Pro3, a device combining photographic and laser data. With this data a 3 dimensional space is created by an AI algorithm. Users can look up, down, turn around, walk around objects like a kitchen island, and see the space from multiple angles of their choice. The Matterport Pro 3 camera creates a complete virtual walk-through and gives true sense of space to the user. Yes. We can provide you with an industry-standard OBJ file, which will contain both the 3D mesh and textures. The Matterport BIM File is an additional deliverable you can purchase after we have scanned a space and uploaded it to the Matterport Cloud. The files you receive can be easily imported into Autodesk’s® Revit software. To ensure that we capture the best possible images of the space, we kindly request that you have it cleaned and de-cluttered before our appointment. Please make sure that the space is staged and in "open-house" condition as the camera will capture everything and there will be no opportunity to edit or modify the images later.

When viewers walk through the finished 3D model, they may notice a small blurred area in the center of the scan if they pan all the way down to the bottom. This blur is created intentionally by the scanning device to block the legs of the tripod from view. Similarly, there may be a blurred patch directly above the device, where it cannot capture images.

Our Matterport 3D Showcases utilize WebGL, which is the modern standard for 3D content on the web. The latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer on desktop computers support WebGL. On mobile devices, most browsers support WebGL. If you are an Apple device user, you can also download the Matterport Showcase application, which allows you to view your scan offline.

On average, it takes approximately 60 minutes to scan an area of 200 square meter. However, if there are any obstacles such as people or pets that hinder the scanning process, the time required for scanning is likely to increase.

We capture images of all interior spaces except for small closets like linen closets or pantries. Please ensure that the doors to all rooms that need to be scanned are open when we arrive. We typically include any area that can be accessed by a human. However, if you have any sensitive material such as photographs, diplomas, etc., that you don't want to be visible in the tour, please make sure to remove them before our arrival. It's important to note that once we complete shooting, it's not possible to digitally remove or photoshop out any items that were present in the space during the shoot.

While viewing your model in the dollhouse or floor plan view, you may notice some areas appearing as "black areas" (which are not visible in the walk-through view). This is a normal occurrence as these areas are not visible to the scanner or even to the human eye when walking through (for instance, areas inside a column, behind a chair in the corner, or inside a small closet). Small non-walk-in closets, very small storage spaces, pantries, residential garages, and attics are usually not included in the scans.
